A sisterhood of business builders, mom-bosses, creatives, & visionaries...
...who want to experience God’s presence & power as they live their purpose by creating provision for their family and friends.
Does the "business side" of it have you feeling more stressed than blessed?
Perhaps some of the following seems familiar.
🔥 There’s more month left when the money runs out, yet you feel there’s probably something— a purpose deep inside you— that could boost your family’s profit potential if you had the right training AND support system.
🔥 You work a network marketing business or MLM. You love the products, but you’ve watched all the business training and it seems “icky.” You wonder if there’s a better way.
🔥 You have a dream of running a small business, but you researched the government’s “small business” website and it talks about “small business” as having “500 or fewer employees” and $10+ million dollars in revenue” per year and you (rightly) think, “That seems BIG.” You wonder where you fit in.
🔥 You LOVE your role as a wife and/or mom, yet you ALSO know God has placed gifts and a passion inside you to do something you feel could earn an income— and you want to do both.
🔥 “The business side” of it seems so overwhelming. You learned some things in school, but you aren’t sure how to file which forms and how to get “all the things” set up. You want to do the work, but you feel like there are so many “hoops” to jump through. You want to fast track what you MUST do, so you can get to the work you WANT to do.
🔥 You’ve realized that working as a solopreneur and mom-boss is both awesome AND lonely at times. You want to link arms with other like-minded ladies, even if they’re in a different field, because you realize we’re better together.
🔥 You don't know what you don't know-- about setting up the "business side" of it all... and want help with a fill-in-the-blank, color-by-number type of framework that helps check all the boxes.
Women at the Gate is for you!
Hello, friend!
I'm Kay.
I think of myself as a serial entrepreneur, a Mom & "Grandee," and your friend.
My late-husband (Bob) and I did everything from a Pharmacy to Tea Rooms to raising a family. Everything we did, we did together.
My latest venture is a shop that’s part-plants, part-home decor, and full-on fun. I call it Topiaries.
Visit TopiariesIn hindsight, I learned that a Topiary is a plant that’s been intentionally pruned to reveal a unique design. Though I didn’t understand it at first, Topiary describes exactly how I felt after losing a business and my precious soul mate. Perhaps you can relate.
That said...
I believe some of the biggest things God has for me (and you!) still await this chapter of life. That’s why I launched Women at the Gate.
About the Gates
“The gates” are one of the primary places of business in the Bible.
Abraham bought a field at the gates (Genesis 23:17), Lot transacted business there as he integrated into life in Sodom (Genesis 19:1), and Boaz asserted his intention to redeem a kinsman’s estate and marry Ruth at the gates (Ruth 4:1-11).
Once you “see” what the gates are in the ancient world, you can’t read the Scripture without noticing God’s desire for His people to do great work in the arena of business.
We’re taught that the Lord desires for these gates— for business— to be a place marked by His presence and power.
He instructed parents to “write His commands” on the doorposts of their homes AND at the city gates (Deuteronomy 6:9).
King David encouraged the people of God to prepare a place for Him by opening these gates for the “King of Glory” (see Psalm 24:7).
For sure, the enemy waged (and still does!) spiritual warfare against the gates (read: business and finance), such that wayward worshippers built altars at the gates instead (2 Kings 23:8, 2 Chronicles 6:28).
But God’s people were encouraged to not to afflict others at the gates (Proverbs 22:22), as well as take steps to not oppress the poor in this arena (Amos 5:12).
Wisdom is required in the gates (Proverbs 24:7), so that God’s people can implement strategies of bringing peace and fostering prosperity at the gates (Zechariah 8:16)
Proverbs 31:23 affirms that a women’s husband is known in the city gates, but it continues…
⭐️ She makes and sells her wares as well (31:24f.).
⭐️ She is full of honor and wisdom— which she imparts to others (31:25f.).
⭐️ She is praised in those same gates (Proverbs 31:31).
If you've got an idea for a Kingdom-driven business, you're in the right place!
What We Teach
Our simple business framework is built on the following steps!
1. Invite God's presence
God wants you to experience His nearness in each area of life— in your marriage, in your parenting, and in your business. There is no arena of life He doesn’t make a difference. Yes, this includes the "gates."
2. Implement the 5-part Kingdom business framework
The Scripture outlines specific steps we can take to experience God’s power in our business, regardless of the field. Though not a formula, we want to lean into His precepts.
3. Increase your potential
When the Holy Spirit shows up, everything “levels up.” The way we interact with both clients / customers AND employees / contractors changes. Impact grows. Profit soars.
The Kingdom Business Framework
Our 5-part framework equips you to build a Kingdom enterprise in any field you choose.
🌸 Presence & power = Partner with God not only in your personal life but also in your business decisions. He wants to show up in your work in the same way He manifests in other areas of life.
🌸 Principles of business = Implement the precepts we teach, all found in the book of Proverbs, about running a Kingdom business. These timeless truths work anytime we implement them consistently.
🌸 Promotion & marketing = Work through our messaging resources so you can clearly communicate what you do, show prospects how to connect with you, and then serve them at a higher level. When this happens, your customer base grows and profits escalate.
🌸 Professional requirements = Though most of us don't like to think about them, there are certain things we must do in order to run a business. We'll help you navigate incorporation, bylaws, IRS filings, spreadsheets, and other necessities.
🌸 Personal care & growth = your business will never outgrow your personal capacity. You must take care of you. With proper boundaries, you can "win at work" and "win at home," and you can succeed in business while remaining centered and whole.

Mastermind Group
Ideal for business builders who prefer to lock arms with others and learn in the context of community.
Each month we focus on one component of Kingdom business.
💥 You’ll receive a coaching module created specifically for that month— to see how the Lord is blowing fresh revelation and insight into this facet of the framework (released on the 1st of the month).
💥 You’ll receive an invite to the mid-month coaching call where Kay answers questions in real time and leads the community in prayer.
1:1 Consulting
Kay will walk you personally through the Kingdom business framework over the course of a 12-month journey.
The first month you’ll take a few assessments and learn how all 5 components fit together.
Then, you’ll invest two months on each of the facets, before tying it all together in the final month.
All Zoom meetings are recorded, so you can review what you’ve learned. And, the worksheets and templates make it easy to apply the lessons.
Train Your Team
Kay will travel to you 4x a year (quarterly), meeting with you and your team. Together, you’ll “install” the Kingdom business framework into your organization.
You’ll meet via Zoom the other 8 months of the year— prepping for the upcoming visit and then reporting on how you applied what you learn.
(This offer is structured much like the 1:1 coaching, but takes it up a notch to encourage, equip, and empower your entire team!)
Speaking
Invite Kay to speak to your group— of any size— on any of the 5-facets of the Kingdom business framework.
Optionally, she can provide an overview of all 5 components together, so your group sees the bigger picture.
Leverage where you are
How to move from where you are...
Hours at church
If you attend church each week, you invest just two hours (of the 168 each week) at church. That’s less than 1.5%.
Hours per week at work
Most of us invest about 30% of our waking hours at work— not including the time we “think” about it.
100%
The number of people who called AND the places God wants to show up, the spaces His presence & power make a difference.
Still undecided if this is for you?

Schedule a free 1:1 non-sales call and a team member will discuss areas your strategic areas of opportunity with you. (Whether we choose to work together or not, this connection is ALWAYS a “win” for both of us!)
Customize
The 5-part Women at the Gate framework remains consistent. However, we can help you focus on the areas of your biggest need, so you can make progress.
Celebrate
Notice the difference. Most women see results within just a few months of implementing the framework. Their stress level goes down, their excitement soars, and they enjoy a stronger sense of community.
The fine print
Starting a business is hard work. Running one without losing yourself in the process is even harder.
But, you don’t have to figure it out by yourself AND you don’t have to do it alone. God didn’t design us to “march solo,” even if you are a solopreneur. He created us to thrive in community.
And, we’ve discovered that we often learn the most when we lean into relationships with other like-minded women— even if they work in a different career field. Because of our passion for the Creator and our desire to glorify Him in every area of life— including business— we have more in common than our chosen profession.
Some of the biggest breakthroughs come in the simple conversations we have when we come together with no expectation but to be present with others. We’ve learned that— in those moments— the Holy Spirit often shows up, provides insight as to what we need, and ignites creativity.
Whether you’ve been working your business for decades, are just starting, or are yet to begin… we’ll show you how to:
🌸 Experience God’s presence & power in your work.
🌸 Create a business based on solid principles.
🌸 Clearly communicate with your ideal audience, so you figure out how to do promotion & marketing in a honorable way.
🌸 Check all the boxes— and handle the professional requirements / “business side” of it.
🌸 Take care of you, b/c the business won’t outgrow the person leading it.
